The Musée Mécanique (website) is a Museum in San Francisco.
Official description from Musée Mécanique:
Welcome to the Musée Mécanique, one of the world's largest (over 200) privately owned collection of coin-operated mechanical musical instruments and antique arcade machines in their original working condition. (You can play them!) We will take you on a journey from turn of the century hand cranked music boxes to modern video arcade games. This is a trip down memory lane. It is a chance to show your children or grandchildren what you did for fun when you were their age. Before video games at home, perhaps before television, perhaps what you remember sitting in your grandparent's parlor
Wikipedia excerpt:
The Musée Mécanique is a collection of penny arcade games and related artifacts located in San Francisco, California. The museum contains one of the world's largest privately owned collections of mechanically operated musical instruments and antique arcade machines. Many exhibits are over 100 years old. It is presently located at Pier 45 in the Fisherman's Wharf tourist area. Prior to 2002, it was housed in the lower level of the Cliff House restaurant at Ocean Beach. For a time in between, the entire collection was in storage without the possibility of public viewing.

We don't have any current exhibitions on file, most likely because we're still collecting listings.

In the meantime, check out the Musée Mécanique homepage or our exhibitions list for S.F.-wide exhibits.
